STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN PROFESIONALISME GURU MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH DALAM ERA DIGITALISAS

This research delves into the strategies aimed at enhancing the professionalism of elementary Islamic school (madrasah ibtidaiyah) teachers in the digitalization era. With the rapid advancement of technology, integrating digital tools into the teaching-learning process has become imperative. However, this integration poses challenges for teachers, particularly those in Islamic schools, due to various factors such as limited access to technology, inadequate training, and uncertainties regarding the alignment of technology with Islamic educational principles. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys, to explore the current state of technology proficiency among madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers and to identify effective strategies for their professional development. The findings reveal a diverse range of technology proficiency among madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers, with some facing limitations in utilizing digital tools despite having access to devices like laptops and smartphones. Key challenges identified include the lack of training and support, insufficient access to technological infrastructure, and concerns about the relevance of technology to the Islamic education curriculum. To address these challenges, teachers express a strong interest in improving their technology usage and highlight the importance of continuous training, peer collaboration, and institutional support from madrasah management. In conclusion, this research underscores the critical role of professional development strategies in empowering madrasah ibtidaiyah teachers to effectively integrate technology into their teaching practices. By providing adequate training, fostering collaborative environments, and ensuring institutional support, madrasah management can facilitate the enhancement of teacher professionalism in the digitalization era. Ultimately, these efforts contribute to the advancement of Islamic education quality and the preparation of future generations to navigate the complexities of the digital age
