Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of compensation in improving teacher performance from the perspective of Islamic Economics. Compensation is considered an essential factor influencing the motivation and productivity of educators. In Islamic Economics, principles such as justice, balance, and fair wages serve as the foundation for determining compensation. This research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review to examine the concepts of compensation, teacher performance, and compensation principles in Islam. The findings indicate that fair, transparent, and contribution-based compensation can significantly enhance teacher motivation and performance. Moreover, the application of Islamic values such as trustworthiness (amanah), excellence (ihsan), and justice promotes a conducive and sustainable work environment, thus improving the overall quality of education.
