Abstract

In an educational institution, the most important thing is quality improvement, in this case, cannot be separated from its human resources, and in this case teachers and educators. an effort to improve the quality of teachers and education personnel is to increase the professionalism of teachers and education personnel. To face the challenges of various advancements, madrasah principals must have appropriate and effective strategies so that they can improve the quality of teachers and education staff who are able to educate quality students and the nation's generation. Because if it is not in the head of the madrasa, then it is very likely that education in Indonesia, especially Islamic education will experience a decline from various aspects and components. This study aims to determine the leadership strategy of the head of Madrasah in improving the professionalism of teachers and education personnel applied at Madrasah Aliyah Hidayatul Mubtadiin, with sub-focuses that include: Understanding the Head of Madrasah on Professionalism of Teachers and Education Personnel, Efforts made by the Head of Madrasah regarding their duties and functions, namely as Educators, Managers, Administrators, Supervisors, Leaders, Innovators and Motivators, leadership strategies for madrasa heads in improving the professionalism of teachers and education staff. This research is a qualitative research, with a case study approach. Collecting data through: interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses three-way research, namely, data presentation, data reduction and drawing conclusions
