Abstract

Religious extracurricular activities play an important role in fostering students' interests and talents, especially in Islamic-based educational environments. This study aims to analyze the implementation of religious extracurricular activities at MAN 1 Ogan Komering Ulu and their impact on students' interest and talent development. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, this research explores how activities such as Quran recitation, hadrah, Islamic studies, and religious-based social activities contribute to enhancing students' religious understanding and skills. The findings indicate that religious extracurricular activities help shape students' religious character and increase their participation in religious activities at school. However, several challenges are encountered in implementing these activities, such as limited resources and low student participation. Therefore, strategies for improving the management of religious extracurricular activities are necessary to be more effective in fostering students' interests and talents.
