IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN PERILAKU POSITIF SISWA DI SMA IT AR RAHMAN BANJAR BARU KALIMANTAN SELATAN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2024/2025
Abstract
This study examines the implementation of character education at SMA IT Ar Rahman Banjar Baru Kalimantan Selatan during the academic year 2024/2025. A qualitative case study approach was employed to explore in depth the strategies used by the school to foster positive behavior among students. The research subjects comprised the principal, teachers, and students selected purposively, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document studies. The findings reveal that the school has implemented various character education strategies, such as habitual religious practices, Islamic mentoring activities, and the integration of character values within the curriculum. These implementations have been shown to enhance students' discipline, responsibility, and mutual respect. Despite facing challenges such as limited parental involvement and the negative influence of social media, collaboration among the school, families, and the community has proven to be a crucial supporting factor in strengthening character education. The study concludes that consistently applied character education not only shapes positive student behavior but also prepares them to face future challenges. These findings are expected to serve as a model for integrated Islamic schools in enhancing the quality of character education in Indonesia.
