Strategi Guru Dalam Pengelolaan Kelas Untuk Meningkatkan Kualitas Pembelajaran PAI di MTS Al Madina Sumatera Selatan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the classroom management strategies employed by teachers to enhance the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at MTS Al Madina, South Sumatra. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants consist of PAI teachers and selected students chosen purposively based on their experience and involvement in classroom activities. The study emphasizes understanding teacher-student interactions, classroom management methods, and the techniques teachers use to create a conducive and effective learning environment. The findings indicate that PAI teachers at MTS Al Madina apply various classroom management strategies focusing on discipline, learning motivation, efficient time management, and the implementation of interactive and innovative teaching methods. Teachers also adopt a personal approach to understanding students' characteristics and learning needs, allowing them to tailor teaching strategies accordingly. Additionally, the use of diverse learning media and periodic formative assessments has been shown to improve student participation and comprehension of PAI material. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that classroom management strategies play a significant role in enhancing the quality of PAI learning. Success is not only dependent on teachers’ ability to deliver the material but also on their skills in managing classroom interactions, fostering student motivation, and creating a positive and supportive learning environment. This study recommends that PAI teachers continue to develop adaptive and creative classroom management strategies to make learning more effective and meaningful.
