This study aims to describe the efforts of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in developing students’ prayer practices at Public Elementary School 1 Gunung Raya, Marga Sekampung District, East Lampung Regency. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the IRE teacher implements several strategies to improve students’ understanding and performance of Islamic prayer, including routine dhuha and dhuhur congregational prayers, exemplary modeling, step-by-step prayer practice guidance, the use of demonstration and repetition methods, and providing motivation as well as positive reinforcement. The teacher also collaborates with parents to strengthen prayer habits at home. Supporting factors include adequate prayer facilities, school support, and students’ enthusiasm, while inhibiting factors involve limited understanding of prayer recitations and varying levels of discipline among students. Overall, the teacher’s efforts effectively enhance students’ prayer performance in terms of knowledge, practical skills, and spiritual attitudes
