In this Modern Era, the public, especially education circles, are increasingly concerned about the importance of life skills material that needs to be owned and taught from an early age. Even the competency-based curriculum that has begun to be implemented, the Ministry of Education and Culture has accommodated and included life skills material in it. Therefore, the purpose of this study is for child development (both mental cognitive, social emotional, and moral personality development) at each stage of development, as a reference for the level of life skills themselves. Life skills are another side of children's development achievements. Skills are a measure of a person's abilities. Moreover, in the skills of making or realizing something, both material and non-material, can be capital in achieving goals. Every ability to realize something in any form. This research method uses library research, library research is a research activity carried out by collecting information and data with the help of various materials available in the library such as reference books, previous research results of the same type, articles, notes, and various journals related to the problem to be solved. The results of the research on the skills approach are essentially a management of teaching and learning activities that focus on the active and creative involvement of students in the process of obtaining learning outcomes. This skills approach is seen as an approach that is most appropriate by many experts for the implementation of learning in schools in order to face the increasingly rapid growth and technology today.
