Abstract

This study aims to 1) Describe the condition of the morals of students at the Nurul Ma'aruf Private Elementary Madrasah, Bumi Waras District, Bandar Lampung City. 2) Reveal the efforts made by the akidah and akhlak teachers in fostering the noble morals of students at the Private Elementary Madrasah. Nurul Ma'aruf, Bumi Waras District, Bandar Lampung City. 3) Describe the role of aqidah and akhlak teachers in fostering the morals of students at the Nurul Ma'aruf Private Elementary Madrasah, Bumi Waras District, Bandar Lampung City. In answering these problems, the author uses a qualitative descriptive research type using a pedagogical approach and a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. There are two sources of data for this study, namely primary and secondary data sources, then the data processing and analysis techniques are carried out through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. While the data validity test is carried out using triangulation techniques and the types of triangulation used are technical and time triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the condition of students' morals in general is quite good, which can be proven by students performing dhuha and dzuhur prayers in congregation, not arriving late, speaking politely, and respecting teachers. Efforts made by the aqidah and akhlak teachers in fostering the noble morals of students are by carrying out moral development activities such as congregational dhuha and dzuhur prayers, memorizing the Qur'an, and implementing the night of faith and piety. Meanwhile, the role of the aqidah and akhlak teacher in fostering the noble morals of students at the Nurul Ma'aruf Private Elementary School, Bumi Waras District, Bandar Lampung City is to act as a role model, as a trainer, and as a motivator. Teachers become good examples or role models for students by carrying out habits in the madrasah environment, besides that teachers also work together with the madrasah so that students with noble morals are realized. The implication of this study is that researchers hope that the aqidah and akhlak teacher will always play a more active role and be highly dedicated in guiding, motivating, and directing students to have good morals in terms of words and deeds. And it is hoped that students will be more active and contribute to participating in the moral development activities that have been determined.
