Abstract

This study is intended to answer the problem of congregational prayer discipline in fostering the morals of students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School. The objectives of this study are: (1) To determine the implementation of congregational prayer discipline in fostering the morals of students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School; (2) To determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of congregational prayer discipline in fostering the morals of students at the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is field research through a qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation and documentation methods to obtain data on the implementation of congregational prayer discipline in fostering the morals of students. The collected research data were then analyzed using data analysis techniques before and during the field. The data analysis techniques during the field were data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the implementation of congregational prayer discipline has a large role in fostering the morals of students. This can be seen from the congregational prayer activities, all academicians are required to participate in congregational prayer activities. Not only that, the planning is structured, starting from teachers, dormitories, and other employees who help make the congregational prayer activities successful on time. Meanwhile, many students participate in congregational prayer activities.
