PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE MAKE A MATCH TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS MATA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS V

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Make A Match cooperative learning model on the mathematical reasoning ability of fifth grade students in Mathematics. The Make A Match model is one of the active learning strategies that emphasizes matching question and answer cards in pairs, so that it can improve interaction and cooperation between students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method. The population in this study were all fifth grade students in one of the Islamic Elementary Schools, while the sample consisted of an experimental class that was treated using the Make A Match model and a control class that used the conventional model. The instrument used was a mathematical reasoning ability test. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a significant difference between the average value of the mathematical reasoning ability of students who used the Make A Match model compared to the conventional model. Thus, the Make A Match learning model has a positive effect on improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities.
