Abstract This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of project-based learning programs in developing students' critical and creative thinking skills at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 6 Wayhalim. The research method used is classroom action research (PTK) with a qualitative approach. The sample for this research was the sixth grade students of MIN 6 Wayhalim, consisting of twenty students. This research was carried out over two cycles by implementing a project-based learning program specifically designed to develop students' critical and creative thinking skills. Data was collected through observation, interviews and document analysis. The research results showed a significant increase in students' critical and creative thinking skills after implementing the project-based learning program. Students demonstrate better abilities in analyzing information, making decisions, and solving problems creatively. Apart from that, students also showed improvements in their ability to collaborate and communicate in groups. These findings indicate that project-based learning programs are effective in improving students' critical and creative thinking skills. The implication of this research is the need to integrate project-based learning programs in the curriculum to develop students' critical and creative thinking skills holistically. Further research could be conducted to explore the factors that influence the effectiveness of project-based learning programs in various educational contexts.
