Abstract

Fine motor skills are movements that only involve

The muscles are small and require careful hand-eye coordination. Therefore, in order to stimulate fine motor development, reliable strategies are needed, such as using a game. Playing is in principle a factor that influences a child's personal development. Therefore, learning through play is expected to increase children's creativity and skills. Through playing with used paper pulp media, children can carry out various activities such as tearing paper, cutting, squeezing, forming. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is a relationship between paper pulp media games and the fine motor skills of PAUD Assalam Kuala Sekampung. Based on the research results, it is known that rxy = 0.83 when consulted in the r table, the correlation level is 0.800 – 1.00 which indicates a high correlation level. In other terms, there is a high or significant relationship between the two variables. Then the value of tcount = 9.604 while ttable = 2.16 at the 5% significance level, so tcount ˃ ttable. ThusHa is accepted. Furthermore, the results obtained from the coefficient of determination test were 68.89%. This result proves that fine motor skills are determined through playing with used paper pulp media.
