PERAN KEPALA SEKOLAH SEBAGAI MOTIVATOR DALAM MENGELOLA KINERJA GURU PAI DI SMA AL AZHAR 3 BANDAR LAMPUNG

Abstract

In an educational institution, the existence of a
principal is one of the important aspects, in addition to
teachers, staff, employees, infrastructure, and others.
Because the Principal must be able to influence others and
their environment. This study aims to determine the
leadership role of the principal in providing
encouragement and direction through motivation. The
author conducted a study at Al-Azhar 3 High School
Bandar Lampung because there is an increasing teacher
performance from year to year as evidenced by the
increasing number of students.
This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The
data collection techniques used in this study were
observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile,
the test of the validity of the data in this study uses source
triangulation by using and combining existing sources.
Data Analysis techniques in this study use data reduction,
data display (data presentation), and Conclusion drawing /
verification. With research subjects the principal, and three
PAI Teachers. The results of this study show that the role
of the principal as a motivator at Al-Azhar 3 High School
Bandar Lampung has been able to manage the performance
of PAI teachers well and carry out their duties as principals
well.
