Abstract

In an educational institution, the existence of a
principal is one of the important aspects, in addition to
teachers, staff, employees, infrastructure, and others.
Because the Principal must be able to influence others and
their environment. This study aims to determine the
leadership role of the principal in providing
encouragement and direction through motivation. The
author conducted a study at Al-Azhar 3 High School
Bandar Lampung because there is an increasing teacher
performance from year to year as evidenced by the
increasing number of students. From the results of data
analysis and research findings at Al-Azhar 3 High School
Bandar Lampung, conclusions can be drawn related to
"The Role of the Principal as a Motivator in managing the
performance of PAI Teachers at Al-Azhar High School
Bandar Lampung", namely The role of the Principal as a
motivator in managing the performance of Gur PAI at AlAzhar 3 High School Bandar Lampung based on indicators
Providing examples of discipline, Providing good
examples in terms of speech, clothing and deeds, Class
visits to supervise the implementation of learning, Guiding
and researching learning tools, Supervising the use of
teaching time, Reprimanding and reminding teachers who
lack discipline, and Hold meetings to provide information
about education and evaluate the implementation of
education that has been carried out and carried out properly
by the principal..
