IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN PERPUSTAKAAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN MINAT BACA PESERTA DIDIK DI SMA KEMALA BAYANGKARI KECAMATAN KOTA BUMI KABUPATEN LAMPUNG UTARA TAHUN 2022/2023

Abstract

Library management is the process of planning,
organizing, implementing, and controlling library
management in the oragnization that has been established
in the school library. Meanwhile, in increasing interest in
reading, an encouragement owned by librarians in
managing libraries and teachers participate in motivating
students in increasing interest in reading. This research
uses qualitative research methods with data collection
techniques, in the form of observations, interviews, and
documents While the findings in the field are: SMA
Kemala Bhayangkari, north Lampung Earth City, has
been quite good in implementing library management, but
in carrying out increasing students' interest in reading has
not been maximized, on the other hand the teacher
councils do not motivate their students to visit the
libraries in the available schools at kemala Bhayangkari
High School in Kota Bumi. Meanwhile, the library room
is still minimal and uncomfortable for students when they
are in the library room. So the results of this study
concluded that First, the Librarian and principal of
Kemala Bhayangkari High School in Kota Bumi have
carried out the implementation of library management
quite well, directed and sustainable. Secondly, the
principal of kemala Bhayangkari High School in Kota
Bumi has tried quite well in increasing the interest in
reading students, by ordering the teacher councils of each
subject to member the assignments or reading materials
of students recommended by the teacher councils, but this
is only limited to motivating students through
assignments given by the teacher council to visit the
library in the school.
