Abstract

This study was conducted based on observations that
have been made in group B children in Tiara Persada
Kindergarten related to gross motor skills in children still
require stimulation due to a lack of awareness of the importance
of developing gross motor skills in children. From this problem,
an improvement is needed that can improve a gross motor ability
of group B children in Tiara Persada Kindergarten. Children
need activities that are very interesting and fun and are activities
that are not often done, one of which is the traditional game of
fortifications
The formulation of the problem in this study is how the teacher's
efforts in applying the traditional fort game to improve gross
motor skills in Tiara Persada Kindergarten. The purpose of this
study was to improve gross motor skills in Tiara Persada
Kindergarten after applying traditional fort games. This research
is useful to increase knowledge about the traditional game of
fort and provide input for teachers on ways that can support the
success of improving gross motor skills through traditional fort
games.
This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK). This
research was conducted using two cycles and in each cycle three
meetings were held. The subjects of this study were 20 children
of group B of Persada Kindergarten, consisting of 9 boys and 11
girls. The method of data collection is carried out through
observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques are
carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner. Social emotional
improvement is said to be successful if 15 out of 20 children fall
into the criteria of developing very well.
