Abstract

Social is learning to understand problems and ways
to solve them. The aim is to master understanding and
proficiency in social problems. The phenomenon that occurs in
Darul Ulum Tajung Heran Kindergarten class has poor social
skills. This is found by students who still always disturb their
friends, do not want to mingle with their friends, do not want to
share something they have with their friends and have not yet
appeared a sense of sympathy in students. So it takes effort to
develop the social skills of students with modeling techniques.
The purpose of this study is to determine the social development
of students using modeling techniques.
The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive. The
subjects in this study were students of the kindergarten class
'Darul Ulum who were still in the low category of social ability.
Data collection techniques in this study used interviews,
observation and documentation.
Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the
teacher / model in class B2 uses several stages in the modeling
process including: attention, stimulus, production, motivation
and reinforcement. Through these stages, it turns out to make it
easier for the model / teacher to develop the social development
of B2 children. Modeling techniques in developing students'
social abilities are said to be effective in order to foster, develop
and even improve the quality of students' social abilities
