Abstract

The problems in this study are low student
motivation towards the field of mathematics, lack of
motivation from within the students themselves causing
students not to concentrate on lesson activities, lack of
teacher readiness in delivering lessons so that learning
becomes uncreative. The purpose of this study is to find
out whether there is a significant influence on the
motivation to learn mathematics by using active learning
strategies group investigation techniques and find out how
students respond to active learning strategies group
investigation techniques in mathematics learning activities
in class. This research was conducted in class V of SD
Negeri 32 NEGERIKATON which totaled 80 people. The
sampling technique for this study is cluster random
sampling. The sample in this study was that the VA class
consisted of 40 students as an experimental class, and the
VB class consisted of 40 students as a control class. Data
collection on this study in the form of questionnaires and
documentation
The results of the recapitulation of hypothesis tests in the
experimental class and control class, it was obtained that
the calculation obtained a value of 10.54 and the ttabel was
1.990 so that the results were calculated > ttabel which
means that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. So, it
can be concluded that Ha: 2ߤ <1ߤ shows the average
motivation to learn mathematics for students whose
learning is in class using active learning strategies group
investigation techniques is greater than the average
motivation to learn mathematics of students whose
learning is in class using expository learning.
