Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to
create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that
students actively develop their potential to have religious
spiritual power, self-control, personality, intelligence,
noble character, as well as the necessary skills of
themselves, society, nation, and state. As explained
above, education is a means of learning for students.
Education is expected to be able to help students develop
their potential towards a positive change to be able to
live independently as individuals and social creatures
according to their respective abilities. The Cooperative
learning model is a learning model using a grouping
system or small teams, which is between four to six
people who have different academic backgrounds,
genders, races, or tribes (heterogeneous). So the
Cooperative Learning model groups students into small
groups whose ability levels vary from one to each other
and then come together and help each other to achieve
common goals. In this study, the author used a
quantitative approach method. Quantitative methods are
research based on the philosophy of positivism, used to
research on certain populations or samples, data
collection using research instruments, quantitative or
statistical data analysis, with the aim of testing
predetermined hypotheses Based on the results of data
analysis and hypothesis testing in chapter IV, the author
concludes that there is a significant influence of the
Student Facilitator and Explaining learning model on the
motivation to learn Islamic Cultural History of class V
MI MA Rawa Selapan students. This can be seen in the

average results of the student learning motivation
questionnaire applied in learning Islamic Cultural
History using the Student Facilitator and Explaining
model higher at 73,588 than using the Mind Mapping
model with an average of 68.5
