Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is an effort to
prepare students to know, understand, appreciate, believe,
have noble morals, practice Islamic teachings from the
main sources of the holy books of the Qur'an and al-Hadith,
through guidance activities, teaching exercises, and the use
of experience. One of the efforts made is the existence of
extracurricular activities to read and write the Qur'an that
are appropriate or harmonious so that students feel happy
learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects and
are able to arouse the enthusiasm of learning students to
achieve the goals of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI)
subject itself so as to get maximum learning results.
The problem that the author found through the results of a
pre-survey conducted on Thursday, October 19, 2017
through an interview with Mr. Rohmad, S.Pd.I, found that
the learning outcomes of students in the subject of Islamic
Religious Education Class VIII At SMP Islamiyah, there
are still some students whose test results are under KKM,
especially in reading and writing the Qur'an, causing gaps
among students. The formulation of the problem that the
author poses in this study is "Is There an Influence of
Qur'an Extracurricular Activities on the Learning
Outcomes of PAI SMP Islamiyah Study Field, Way
Pengubuan District, Central Lampung. The purpose of this
study is to determine whether or not there is an influence
of extracurricular activities reading and writing the Qur'an
on the learning outcomes of the PAI field of study.
The research that the author conducted was quantitative
research. The data collection methods that the authors used
were questionnaires and tests. The results of the author's
data analysis use Product Moment. So it can be concluded

that the results obtained are at a significant level rtable of
5% of 0.433, while the calculation (rxy) obtained is 0.68.
So, rcalculate is greater than rtable so that 0.68> 0.433 is
obtained. While the results obtained in the table of a
significant level of 5% amounted to 2.093. While the
calculated t obtained is 4.042. So t count is greater than t
table which is 4.042>2.093
