Abstract

The problem that arises in this study is the lack of
awareness of students to obey the rules in the dormitory.
Many parents choose to send their children to boarding
schools in the hope that their children will gain religious
and general knowledge so that they have good character.
But it turns out that there are still those who do not obey
dormitory rules such as: students arrive late, students are
still outside when the entrance bell rings, students do not
pay attention to the teacher when explaining the subject
matter, students sleep in class, students skip class hours.
These small behaviors if left unchecked will become habits
for students. Students are the next generation who should
have good character, but in fact there are still violations
found among students.
The formulation of the problem that the author poses in this
study is whether there is an Influence of the Boarding
School System on Student Character Building in MAN 1
Metro. While the purpose of this study is to determine the
Effect of the Boarding School System on Student
Character Building in MAN 1 Metro. And the research
hypothesis is that there is an Influence of the Boarding
School System on Student Character Building in MAN 1
Metro.This research is a type of quantitative research with
data collection methods used are questionnaires and
documentation. Then analyze the data for each
independent variable and the dependent variable illustrated
by the value of the Chi Squared price (X2). While the
influence of two independent variables on the dependent
variable can be known from the value of the coefficient
