Abstract

Teachers are a very influential factor in the world of
education, especially Qur'an Reading and Write Teachers play a
very strategic and significant role in teaching Qur'anic verses to
Santri. Teachers read and write the Qur'an to pay more attention
and improve the ability to read the Qur'an in Santri who
experience difficulties and decreased interest in reading and
writing the Qur'an and who have been fluent in reading and
writing the Qur'an in order to read the Qur'an properly and
correctly. Therefore, the role of teachers is needed in increasing
interest in reading and writing the Qur'an in students.
This study aims to determine the role played by Qur'an Reading
and Writing Teachers in increasing interest in reading and
writing Al-Qur'an Santri at TPA Darul Ulum Iringmulyo. This
study used observational data collection techniques, interviews,
and documentation. Interviews were conducted with Qur'an
literacy teachers, landfill heads, and Santri regarding the role
played by Qur'an literacy teachers in increasing interest in
reading and writing the Qur'an. Observation and documentation
are carried out on matters related to the role in increasing interest
in reading and writing the Holy Qur'an Santri.
Based on the results of the study, that the role carried out by the
Qur'an reading and writing teacher in increasing interest in
reading and writing the Qur'an Santri large class at TPA Darul
Ulum, through 5 ways, namely: 1) teachers as guides,
2) providing motivation, 3) teachers as counselors 4) teachers as
environmental regulators 5) teachers as participants. Supporting
factors for the role of TPA Teacher guidance in increasing
interest in reading and writing the Qur'an at Darul Ulum Landfill
consist of: parental support and motivation. While the inhibiting
factors of the role of TPA teachers in increasing interest in
reading and writing the Qur'an at TPA Darul ulum consist of:
mass media, especially electronic media and social
environments such as choosing the wrong friends in associating
