Abstract

Education has a very important role in human life, because humans are ciureatures who lneed education. The main purpose of education is to develop knowledge, attitudes and skills simultaneously and in balance, so that there is a good relationship between each skill which is the goal of the education. This study aims to explain how the Akidah Akhlak teacher's efforts in improving the emotional intelligence of students at Madrasah Aliyah Hidayatul Mubtadiin Jati Agung. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, namely research that describes information data based on facts obtained in the field. This data was collected through interviews with school principals, Islamic religious education teachers and counseling guidance teachers, observations by observing or observing the teacher's efforts in developing students' emotional intelligence at Madrasah Aliyah Hidayatul Mubtadiin Jati Agung, and school documentation. The results of the study revealed that: (1) The efforts made by the teacher to develop students' emotional intelligence began with apples every morning by shaking hands in the field, reading prayers in front of the class and giving motivation before starting the lesson. (2) Carrying out extracurricular activities such as language, scouting, pencak silat and so on.
